The aim of the project is to preserve nature and enhance the existing environment by upgrading technical solutions for wastewater treatment. The aim of Roosta Recreation Village is to operate on the shores of one of the most beautiful beaches in Estonia in a way that recreation and nature conservation go hand in hand. The best way to do this is to ensure that the technical condition of the treatment plant in the holiday village remains stable throughout the year, with ongoing improvements.

The Lääne-Nigula Municipality contributed to the purchase of the new wastewater treatment solution.

Implementation of a more energy-efficient heating system for Roosta Holiday Village II (2023)

The aim of the project is to replace the old electric heaters with a modern air-to-water system. This is part III of the heating project completed in 2017, where the underfloor heating pipes will be dismantled from the existing heating source and connected to the new air-to-water heat pump system. The plan is to install a radiator heating system for floors 0, 1 2.

Implementation of a more energy-efficient heating system for Roosta Holiday Village (2022)

The project activities will enhance the energy efficiency of the holiday village. The heating of the three conference halls will be upgraded, and the heating system of the main building will be optimized for greater economy.
The project will involve the purchase and installation of an air-to-water heating system along with domestic hot water boilers. The heating system, enhanced for efficiency through the project, directly contributes to cost savings for the company. With the energy and cost savings realized, the company will have the resources available to allocate towards other development needs such as staff training, renovation of holiday homes, enhanced marketing campaigns, and more. All of these initiatives accelerate development activities and enhance the company’s competitiveness.

European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: European investment in rural areas.

Establishment of a conference center with modern internet infrastructure in Roosta Holiday Village (2017 - 2019).

The project is aligned with the tourism development plan of the local municipality, Läänemaa, and the county. The aim of the project is to stimulate business growth, attracting more visitors to the area and consequently generating employment opportunities for local residents.

The project will upgrade the Roosta conference center to meet modern IT standards, enhancing the company’s appeal to conference clientele and ensuring competitiveness against other conference centers across counties, including Tallinn.

With the modern Internet connection, participant satisfaction can be increased, leading to positive word-of-mouth referrals. Key stakeholders in the Estonian conference market are more inclined to recommend Roosta Conference Centre to business clients for organizing events.

As the project unfolds, local human capital will undergo development. One of the largest employers in North-West Estonia has the potential to enhance regional sustainability by expanding its operations. AS Swedest Motel Group was the 2016 Läänemaa Employer of the Year. This recognition is attributed to a company that can ensure year-round employment opportunities. Sustaining business operations through the winter low season is facilitated by hosting seminars, conferences, and nationally significant training courses. With the project’s implementation and the modernization of the Holiday Village Internet Service, we foresee the potential to provide additional year-round employment opportunities. The creation of new jobs during the low season contributes to local development and enhances the sustainability of the entire Läänemaa region.

The food heritage of coastal Sweden, irrespective of the season

The aim of the project “The food heritage of Coastal Sweden in all seasons” is to develop catering in Roosta Holiday Village based on local ingredients. It is about harnessing the region’s natural resources to enhance the region’s businesses and its specific character and cultural heritage. With the assistance of a Leader project, the catering equipment was upgraded to be modern and sustainable. The acquisition of refrigeration equipment (including a blast chiller, a freezer, and serving counters) facilitates the procurement of high-quality produce from local basket growers and gardeners. The serving counters ensure that the produce can be served at its peak ripeness throughout the year.

Entrepreneurship development, including the establishment of businesses tailored to local specificities and cultural heritage (2019).

A state-of-the-art conference and entertainment center. (1.08.2019 - 31.07.2021)

The aim of the project “Conference and entertainment centre with state-of-the-art technology” is to maintain competitiveness by providing modern technical solutions for conference and entertainment services.
AS Swedest Motel Group was the 2016 Läänemaa Employer of the Year. This recognition is attributed to a company that can ensure year-round employment opportunities. Sustaining your business during the winter low season is achievable through hosting seminars, conferences, and nationally significant training courses. With the implementation of the project, our goal is to ensure the year-round operation of Roosta Holiday Village and preserve existing jobs. To ensure that our customers can organize competitive conferences today, it’s essential to upgrade existing equipment to meet modern requirements. The new equipment includes modern sound equipment such as speakers and active speakers suitable for outdoor use for larger groups, along with a mixing console. Additionally, presentation equipment including a data projector, screen, conference terminals, presentation computer, microphones, and hall lighting are included. The implementation of new technology will maintain the interest of existing customers while also attracting more discerning customers from both Estonia and abroad.
With the initiation of the project and the modernization of the equipment, we envision staying ahead of the competition in Estonia and retaining our existing staff throughout the year. Retaining existing customers and attracting new ones contribute to both local development and the sustainability of the entire Läänemaa region.
